Building your own brand as a teacher

Branding is a common business strategy. But you are an individual, not a car or a chocolate, and it's understandable if you don't feel like a brand. However, today branding is becoming just as important on a personal level. A brand is what distinguishes you from other professionals in the field where people work with other people. A personal brand is in a way synonymous with your professional reputation, with how other people see you as a representative of an idea, of an organisation, or of an activity. Building your own brand can lead to industry recognition, better contacts, higher job security in a world which keeps changing, and much more. In this seminar we will look at the importance of building a personal brand and ways in which teachers can develop and maintain their own brand.
