The role of teachers in enhancing students’ personal development cannot be overestimated. It is the teacher who chooses mind-boggling materials, sets interactive tasks, and finally, monitors discussions. How can we apply the concept of empathy in the classroom? During the workshop we are going to look into practical activities that focus on developing students’ self-awareness, self-esteem as well as being sensitive to the needs of other people (actually, not only people – plants and animals as well!)
